Born as Malcolm James McCormick, Mac Miller was an international sensation with various hits throughout his career that earned him a respectable title including his debut album K.I.D.S, various hits such as "Loud" and "Knock, Knock", and more importantly his breakout single "Donald Trump" that skyrocketed him to recognition as well as landing him his first track to ever chart on the Billboard Top Charts.

The legacy of Mac Miller would ultimately come to an unfortunate halt in the year of 2018, just a few months after the break-up with Pop Star Ariana Grande, when he would make headlines across the world after passing away from a reported overdose leaving millions of fans in absolute shock.

This past weekend, the estate of Mac Miller revealed insight into a new album that was never officially released (although unofficial copies exist on the internet) as they stated Many of Malcolm’s fans are aware of Balloonerism, a full-length album that Malcolm created around the time of the release of Faces in 2014. It is a project that was of great importance to Malcolm—to the extent that he commissioned artwork for it and discussions concerning when it should be released were had regularly, though ultimately GO:OD AM and subsequent albums ended up taking precedence.

The estate further stated that We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and fearlessness as an artist. Given that unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years and that releasing Balloonerism was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him, we felt it most appropriate to present an official version of the project to the world. With that in mind, we’re happy to announce that Balloonerism will be released on January 17th, 2025.

Although no longer with us, Mac Miller's legacy lives on with the millions of fans who continue to support his estate and continue to blast his sound all across the globe. 6 years after his passing, and he is still is pulling an estimated 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify
